Why connect TradesQuote to QuickBooks?
Close the loop between estimating and accounting — without touching a keyboard twice.
Planned features
Core value
Accepted estimate → QuickBooks invoice instantly
When a client accepts your estimate in TradesQuote, it is automatically pushed to QuickBooks Online as a draft invoice — with all line items, quantities, and prices already filled in. No re-entering data.
Customers synced automatically
New clients added in TradesQuote are created in QuickBooks as customers. Existing customers are matched so you never end up with duplicates in your books.
Eliminate double data entry
Every item on your estimate lands in QuickBooks exactly as written. No copy-paste, no typos, no missed line items — the data moves without you touching it.
Your accounts always current
Invoices appear in QuickBooks the moment a job is won. Your accountant or bookkeeper sees an up-to-date picture of receivables without waiting for end-of-week data entry.
Works with your QuickBooks plan
The integration uses the QuickBooks Online API — no App Store listing required. Connect using your own QuickBooks credentials with a standard OAuth 2.0 flow.
Free sandbox for testing
QuickBooks provides a free developer sandbox environment. The integration will be fully tested against real QuickBooks data before launch.
This integration is coming soon. The workflow below shows how it will work once available. Sign up to be notified at launch.
How it will work
The full flow from accepted estimate to QuickBooks invoice — automated in the background.
OAuth 2.0

-
Invoice created in QuickBooks
TradesQuote pushes the accepted estimate to QuickBooks Online as a draft invoice with all line items, the customer record, and the total amount.
-
Review and send in QuickBooks
Log into QuickBooks, review the draft invoice, and send it to the client. No data entry — just review and go.
Frequently asked questions
When will the QuickBooks integration be available?
We are actively building this integration. Sign up for your free trial and you will be notified by email the moment it launches.
Which version of QuickBooks does it support?
The integration targets QuickBooks Online (Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced plans). QuickBooks Desktop is not in scope for the initial release.
Will it work without a QuickBooks App Store listing?
Yes. The integration uses the Intuit developer API directly — no App Store listing is required. You connect using your own QuickBooks credentials, just like any OAuth app.
What data will be pushed to QuickBooks?
Accepted estimates are pushed as draft invoices: customer name, line item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and totals. No personal or financial data beyond what is on the estimate is transmitted.
Does data flow back from QuickBooks into TradesQuote?
Not in the initial release. The first version is a one-way push: TradesQuote → QuickBooks. Future versions may sync payment status back to TradesQuote.
Is my QuickBooks password shared with TradesQuote?
No. The integration uses OAuth 2.0 — the same standard used by Google and Microsoft sign-ins. TradesQuote never sees or stores your QuickBooks password.
